Torque wrench, 1/2 inch drive
Automotive Mechanic-s Tool Kit
Socket wrench set, 1/2 inch drive
Rod, 1-7/8 inches diameter
Sleeve, 3 inches inside diameter
MATERIALS/PARTS: Detergent (Appendix C, item 4)
Rubber mounts (FSCM 76005 PN J6198-9)
Lock nuts, two (FSCM 96906 PN
PERSONNEL REQUIRED: Two Construction Equipment

PRELIMINARY PROCEDURE: Engine front side panels removed and parking
brake chamber removed (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
Remove then install one transmission mount at a time to prevent stress-
ing transmission and engine.
Install transmission jack under transmission and take up all weight of
(2) While assistant holds capscrew (6) at right side bracket (8) using socket
wrench, remove lock nut (1) and washer (2).
(3) Remove four capscrews (3 and 4) and lock washers (5) from right side
bracket (8). If necessary, raise transmission using transmission jack.
(4) Remove capscrew (6) and washer (7).
(5) Remove right side bracket (8)
with rubber mount (9).
(6) Put right side bracket (8) in
hydraulic press. Using hydraulic
press and 1-7/8 inches diameter
