This test procedure may create other diagnostic codes. Ignore these created diag-
nostic codes and clear these diagnostic codes when original diagnostic code has
been corrected. Ensure diagnostic code CID 1405 FMI 05 is active before per-
forming this procedure.
1. If diagnostic code remains active, go to
1. Check clutch 5 (third and fourth speed)
2. If diagnostic code is no longer active,
(a) Turn battery disconnect switch and
clutch 5 (third and fourth speed)
engine start switch to ON position (TM
solenoid has failed. Repeat this test to
verify clutch 5 (third and fourth speed)
(b) Disconnect clutch 5 (third and fourth
solenoid failure. Replace modulating
speed) solenoid with active diagnostic
valve (WP 0177 00). Verify new
code from wiring harness (WP 0177
modulating valve corrects problem.
(c) At clutch 5 (third and fourth speed)
place a jumper wire from contact 1
