SECONDARY STEERING RELIEF VALVE REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED
C AU T I O N
Wipe area clean around all connections to be opened during removal. Cap lines and hoses and plug open-
ings after removing hydraulic lines. Contamination of hydraulic system could result in premature failure.
N OT E
· The following procedure is for the left steering cylinder. The procedure for the right is identical.
· Tag hydraulic hoses to ensure correct installation.
· Use a container to catch any hydraulic oil that may drain from hoses or system. Dispose of fluid IAW local pol-
icy and ordinances. Ensure all spills are cleaned up.
· Steering should be fully articulated in the opposite direction of cylinder removed.
At left side of transmission (1), disconnect hose (2) from T (3) of secondary steering relief valve (4).
Remove and discard O-ring (5).
Disconnect hose (6) from T (3).
Remove and discard O-ring (7).
Disconnect hose (8) from adapter (9).
Remove and discard O-ring (10).
Remove bolt (11), washer (12), and secondary steering relief valve (4) from transmission (1).
Remove adapter (9) from machine and set aside.
Remove and discard O-ring (13).
N OT E
Note position of T for installation.
Remove T (3) and adapter (14) and set aside for re-use.
Remove and discard two O-rings (15).
