FUEL INJECTION PUMP REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED
Ensure that No. 1 piston is at top center of compression stroke (WP 0010 00).
Use hub nut (1) to rotate crankshaft until hole (2) in
timing gear (3) and hole (4) in hub of timing gear (5)
are aligned with hole (6).
N OT E
If timing pin can be fully seated, fuel injection pump timing is correct. No resistance should be felt
when timing pin is inserted into hole of fuel injection pump body.
Install timing pin through hole (2) in timing gear (3)
and hole (4) in hub of timing gear (5). Push timing pin
