Screw plastic cap (8) onto wiper motor shaft (7).

Push wiper arm assembly straight onto tapered shaft. If wiper arm assembly is not installed straight when
shaft turns, splines will be improperly formed and damage will occur.
Do not operate wiper motor before wiper arm assembly is installed. A new wiper motor is preset in parked
position. If wiper motor is operated before installation of wiper arm assembly, misalignment will occur. This
can cause damage to wiper motor, wiper arm assembly, and/or glass.
Do not manually rotate wiper arm assembly on shaft.
6.
Use mark to align wiper arm assembly (6) with wiper
motor shaft (7).
7.
Tighten bolt (5) to 9 2 lb-ft (12 3 Nm).
8.
Connect hose (4) to machine.
