CLEANING AND INSPECTION - CONTINUED
1.
Clean all parts and mating surfaces of engine oil cooler housing and the cylinder block with solvent cleaning compound.
2.
Dry parts with compressed air.
3.
Inspect all parts for wear, pitting, cracks, or corrosion.
4.
Inspect oil passages to ensure they are clean and unobstructed.
ASSEMBLY
N OT E
Apply a thin coat of clean oil to all O-rings before installation.
Perform steps 1 and 2 when replacing sight gage.
1.
Install four new O-rings (88) on sight gage (87).
2.
Install sight gage (87), two washers (86), and bolts
(85) on hydraulic tank (3).
