Wiring Harness for High Resistance

NOTE
Do not remove jumper wire from terminal 1 and terminal 2 of
connector E-C12 at this time.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Disconnect connector E-C4
(WP 0012, Figure 10) from engine
ECM J2.
3. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less -
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Replace engine ECM (WP 0265).
between connector E-C4 terminal
Remove jumper wire from terminal 1
58 and terminal 34 (WP 0012,
and terminal 2 of connector E-C12

Proceed to Test Step 5.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms -
Replace engine control wiring harness
(WP 0294).
Proceed to Test Step 5.
Test Step 4. Test Injector Cylinder 1
and 2 Jumper Harness for High
Resistance or Open.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove valve cover (WP 0187).
3. Disconnect two wires 3 and 4
(WP 0012, Figure 1) from fuel
injector 2 (WP 0198).
4. Remove jumper wire from terminal
1 and terminal 2 of connector E-
C12 (WP 0012, Figure 3).
5. Connect jumper wire between
terminal 1 and terminal 2 of
connector EH-C1 (WP 0012,
Figure 2).
