1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove valve cover (WP 0187).
3. Disconnect two wires 3 and 4
(WP 0012, Figure 7) from fuel
injector 6 (WP 0198).
4. Remove jumper wire from terminal
1 and terminal 2 of connector E-
C15 (WP 0012, Figure 9).
5. Connect jumper wire between
terminal 1 and terminal 2 of
connector EF-C1 (WP 0012,
Figure 8).
6. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less -
Replace fuel injector 6 (WP 0198).
(WP 0174), measure resistance
between wires 3 and 4 (WP 0012,
Remove jumper wire from terminal 1

and terminal 2 of connector EF-C1
(WP 0012, Figure 8).
Proceed to Test Step 5.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms -
Replace injector cylinder 5 and 6 jumper
harness (WP 0212).
Proceed to Test Step 5.
Test Step 5. Verify Malfunction Is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all wiring harness
connectors are connected.
2. Ensure valve cover (WP 0187) is
installed on engine.
