1. Ensure all wiring harness
connectors are connected.
2. Start engine and operate governor
control pedal (TM 5-3805-298-10).
3. At MSD, check for active
91-12 Throttle Position Sensor Is
diagnostic codes (WP 0008).
Damaged Becomes Inactive -
Troubleshooting complete.
91-12 Throttle Position Sensor Is
Damaged Remains Active - Replace
engine ECM (WP 0265). Proceed to
Test Step 14.
Test Step 8. Test 8 Volt Sensor
Supply Circuit Function in Engine
Wiring Harness.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove right engine access panel
(WP 0348).
3. Disconnect connector EN-C1
(WP 0012, Figure 11) from engine
ECM J1.
4. Install a jumper wire between
connector C-C8 (WP 0012,
Figure 14) terminal A and terminal
B.
5. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less -
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Replace engine ECM (WP 0265).
between connector EN-C1
Proceed to Test Step 14.
(WP 0012, Figure 11) terminal 43
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms -
and terminal 33.
Proceed to Test Step 9.
