Test Step 2. Test for Faulty Throttle
549-2 Throttle Lock Mode
Lock Enable Switch.
Switch Data Is Erratic,
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
Intermittent, or Incorrect -
disconnect switch to OFF position

(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove console instrument panel
for access to wiring harness
connectors (WP 0264).
3. Disconnect connector C-C41
(WP 0012, Figure 33) from throttle
lock enable switch.
4. Push throttle lock enable switch to
ON position.
5. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less -
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Proceed to Test Step 3.
between throttle lock enable switch
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms -
(WP 0012, Figure 34) terminal 3
Replace throttle lock enable switch
and terminal 2.
(WP 0264).
Proceed to Test Step 7.
Test Step 3. Test Engine Wiring
Harness for High Resistance or
Open.
1. Remove right engine access panel
(WP 0348).
2. Disconnect connector EN-C1
(WP 0012, Figure 11) from engine
ECM J2.
3. Connect jumper wire between
terminal 3 and terminal 2 of
connector C-C41 (WP 0012,
Figure 33).
4. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less -
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Remove jumper wire between terminal
between connector EN-C1
3 and terminal 2 of connector E-C41
(WP 0012, Figure 11) terminal 52
(WP 0012, Figure 33).
and ground.
Proceed to Test Step 5.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms -
Proceed to Test Step 4.
