Wiring Harness for High Resistance
Valve Solenoid Current
or Open.
Below Normal - Continued
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove right engine access panel
(WP 0348).
3. Disconnect connector E-C4
(WP 0012, Figure 10) from engine
ECM connector J2.
4. Disconnect connector E-C9
(WP 0012, Figure 35) from fuel
pump solenoid.
5. Connect jumper wire between
terminal 1 and terminal 2 of
connector E-C9 (WP 0012,
Figure 35).
6. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less -
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Replace fuel injection pump (WP 0203).
between connector E-C4
Proceed to Test Step 3.
(WP 0012, Figure 10) terminal 25
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms -
and terminal 26.
Replace engine control wiring harness
(WP 0294).
Proceed to Test Step 3.
Test Step 3. Verify Malfunction Is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all wiring harness
connectors are connected.
2. Install right engine access panel
(WP 0348).
3. Connect MSD and select C6.6 924
4. Select Diagnostics (Figure 7,
Item 1), Diagnostic Tests
(Figure 7, Item 2), and Fuel Rail
Pump Solenoid Test (Figure 7,
Item 4).
5. Select the start button (Figure 7,
Item 3) to begin test.
