WARNING
Diesel fuel is combustible and an irritant. Skin and eye protection is required. Ensure work
area is well ventilated.
Keep away from open flame and other ignition sources. Failure to follow this warning may
cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Cap all fuel line openings along with component connections during removal to protect
against contamination. Failure to follow this caution may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
Tag and mark fuel line assembly and note fuel line assembly routing to aid installation.
1. Remove fuel line assembly (Figure 1, Item 3) from three clips (Figure 1, Item 7).
2. Depress tab (Figure 1, Item 2) and disconnect fuel line assembly (Figure 1, Item 3) from fuel filter housing
(Figure 1, Item 10).
3. Depress tab (Figure 1, Item 9) and disconnect fuel line assembly (Figure 1, Item 3) from fuel pump
(Figure 1, Item 8).
4. Loosen tube nut (Figure 1, Item 4) from fuel filter housing (Figure 1, Item 10).
5. Loosen tube nut (Figure 1, Item 6) from fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 8).
6. Loosen but do not remove two bolts (Figure 1, Item 1) from fuel filter housing (Figure 1, Item 10).
NOTE
Note position and orientation of fuel tube for installation purposes.
Position fuel filter housing as needed to remove fuel tube.
