1. Turn ignition switch to the off posi-
tion (TM 5-2420-231-10) and dis-
connect batteries (WP 0157).
2. Remove nut (Figure 10, Item 4)
and lockwasher (Figure 10, Item 5)
from alternator (Figure 10, Item 3).
Discard lockwasher.
3. Remove alternator D+ connector
(Figure 10, Item 2) from alternator
terminal D+ (Figure 10, Item 1) on
alternator (Figure 10, Item 3).
4. Connect batteries (WP 0157) and
turn ignition switch to the on posi-
tion (TM 5-2420-231-10).
5. Using a digital multimeter, test for
Voltage 9 to 14 Volts - Proceed to
