Test Step 4. Verify That Alternator Is
Charging.
1. Partially drain batteries for approxi-
mately 10 minutes by operating
the cab accessories and lights with
ignition switch in the on position
(TM 5-2420-231-10).
2. Install a clampmeter (Figure 8,
Item 2) on the battery cable (Fig-
ure 8, Item 1) at the alternator.
