7. With assistance, hold hood (Figure 21, Item 5) partially open.
NOTE
The procedure for shock absorber replacement is identical for left-hand and right-hand
shock absorbers. Right-hand shock absorber is shown in this procedure.
8. Install right-hand shock absorber (Figure 21, Item 6) on two pivots (Figure 21, Item 8).
9. Install two clips (Figure 21, Item 7) on shock absorber (Figure 21, Item 6).
10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 for left-hand shock absorber.
11. Install cable (Figure 21, Item 4), spacer (Figure 21, Item 3), washer (Figure 21, Item 2), and bolt
(Figure 21, Item 1) on radiator support (Figure 21, Item 9).
12. With assistance, lower hood (Figure 21, Item 5).
