TM 5-3805-262-343-21. CHECKS AND ADJUSTMENTS AND FLOWMETER TESTS (CONT)e. FlowmeterTests(Cont).TEST NO. 2 - LOADER CIRCUITS AND MAIN RELIEF VALVE (SHEET 4 OF 4)(23) Hold LIFT ARM control lever in RAISE position and adjust flowmeter PRES-SURE VALVE control until flowmeter PRESSURE gage indicates 2000 psi. Ifnecessary, adjust engine speed to 2000 rpm by further depressing acceler-ator pedal. Record flowmeter FLOW gage reading.(24) Hold LIFT ARM control lever in LOWER position and adjust flowmeter PRES-SURE VALVE control until flowmeter PRESSURE gage indicates 2000 psi. Ifnecessary, adjust engine speed to 2000 rpm by further depressing acceler-ator pedal. Record flowmeter FLOW gage reading.(25) Hold CLAM control lever in CLOSE position and adjust flowmeter PRESSUREVALVE control until flowmeter PRESSURE gage indicates 2000 psi. If neces-sary, adjust engine speed to 2000 rpm by further depressing acceleratorpedal. Record flowmeter FLOW gage reading.(26) Hold CLAM control lever in CLOSE position and adjust flowmeter PRESSUREVALVE control until flowmeter PRESSURE gage indicates 2000 psi. If neces-sary, adjust engine speed to 2000 rpm by further depressing acceleratorpedal. Record flowmeter FLOW gage reading.(27) Open flowmeter PRESSURE VALVE control completely, decrease engine speedto idle, then turn off engine.(28) If readings recorded in steps (20) and (22) through (26) above for eachcircuit is within one gallon per minute of reading obtained at same pres-sure in test no. 1 step (18), the circuit is good.(29) If indication for a circuit as recorded in steps (20) and (22) through(26) above is not within one gallon per minute of reading obtained atsame pressure in test no. 1 step (18) there is leakage in the circuit.Refer to troubleshooting (page 2-123).Hydraulic system pressure is over 2000 psi and hydraulic reservoir ispressurized with compressed air. Before loosening or disconnecting anyhydraulic hoses, lines, or fittings, operate all hydraulic controllevers to relieve hydraulic system pressure. Failure to do so couldcause serious injury or death. If you are injured obtain medicalassistance immediately.(30) Disconnect flowmeter hoses (6 and 7) and remove fittings (8).(31) Remove fitting (5).(32) Reinstall connector (4), coupling (3), and cap (2) in tube.(33) Reinstall fill cap in hydraulic reservoir and close and lock access doorin front of loader.(34) Remove flowmeter from loader cab.3-634
