CHANGING TRANSMISSION OIL - CONTINUED

Use a container to catch any hydraulic oil that may drain from hoses or system. Dispose of fluid IAW local pol-
icy and ordinances. Ensure all spills are cleaned up.
Transmission refill capacity is 6.1 gal. (23 L).
DRAINING

1.
Operate machine until normal operating temperature is reached (TM 5-3805-290-10).
2.
Shut down engine (TM 5-3805-290-10).
3.
Remove transmission drain plug (1) and O-ring (2) and allow transmission oil to drain into container. Discard O-ring.
4.
Clean transmission drain plug (1) and install drain plug (1) and new O-ring (2) on transmission (3).

5.
Change transmission oil filter element (WP 0086 00).
6.
Clean transmission magnetic screen (WP 0084 00).
7.
Remove and discard transmission breather (4) located
on top of transmission case (5).
