CLEANING AND INSPECTION - CONTINUED
1.
Clean all parts and mating surfaces with solvent cleaning compound.
2.
Dry parts with compressed air.
3.
Inspect all parts for wear, pitting, cracks, or corrosion and replace if necessary.
4.
Inspect oil passages to ensure they are clean and unobstructed.
CAU T I ON
DO NOT drop or strike magnets against any hard objects. Replace any damaged magnets.
5.
Clean magnetic filter and cover with a cloth, stiff-bristle brush, or compressed air.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install magnetic filter (5) in magnetic screen (6).
2.
Install screen (6) in housing (4).
3.
Lubricate and install new O-ring (3) and magnetic screen cover (2) on machine.
4.
Install and tighten three bolts (1).
5.
Fill transmission (WP 0083 00).
6.
Start engine and run until normal operating temperature is reached (TM 5-3805-290-10).
7.
Shut down engine (TM 5-3805-290-10).
8.
Check for leaks.
