HOOD AND SIDE COVERS REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

INSTALLATION
1.
If strut assembly (10) is being replaced, remove clip (24) from new strut assembly and install stud (25) and clip in new
strut assembly.
2.
Position lower side panel (23) on machine and install four washers (22) and bolts (21) in lower side panel.
3.
Repeat step 2 for opposite side of machine.
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during pro-
cedure. Ensure any lifting equipment used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of
heavy parts supported only by lifting equipment. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or
death to personnel.
N OT E
Hood weighs approximately 130 lb (597 kg).
4.
With assistance, use lifting equipment to position hood assembly (15) on machine.
5.
Install two washers (17) and bolts (16) on hood assembly (15) for each side of machine.
6.
Install two bolts (18), four washers (19), and two nuts (20) to secure hood assembly (15) on each side of machine.
7.
Remove lifting equipment and two hinge bolts (7), four washers (6 and 11), and two nuts (5) from two hinge assemblies
(12) on each side of machine.
