AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

C AU T I O N
Wipe area clean around all connections to be opened during removal. Cap lines and hoses and plug
openings after removing lines. Contamination of system could result in premature failure.
N OT E
Tag hoses prior to removal to ensure correct installation.
Use a container to catch any fluid that may drain from hoses or system. Dispose of fluids IAW local pol-
icy and ordinances. Ensure all spills are cleaned up.
Inline refrigerant dryer MUST be replaced anytime the AC system is opened.

COMPRESSOR REMOVAL
1.
Cut and discard tiedown strap (1) and disconnect two
wiring harnesses (2).
2.
Disconnect wiring harness (3).
3.
Remove bolt (4) and washer (5) from machine.
4.
Disconnect two hose assemblies (6) from compressor
ports. Remove two O-rings (7) from hoses and dis-
card.
5.
Loosen bolt (8) and remove belt (WP 0046 00).
6.
Remove bolts (8, 9, and 10), washers (11, 12, and 13),
and bracket (14) from machine.
7.
Remove AC compressor (15) from machine.
8.
If necessary, remove pressure switch (16) from AC
compressor (15).
