Apply a thin coat of clean oil to all
O-rings and seals before installation.
2.
Install new lip seal (43) on front of lift arm assembly
(1). Repeat for remaining three lip seals on front of lift
arm assembly.
3.
Apply grease to pin bores and lip seals.
4.
Repeat steps 1 thru 3 for rear of lift arm assembly (1).

Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during pro-
cedure. Ensure any lifting equipment used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of
heavy parts supported only by lifting equipment. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or
death to personnel.
N OT E
Lift arm assembly weighs 1,206 lb (547 kg).
Pin assembly weighs 82 lb (37 kg).
5.
Use lifting equipment to position lift arm assembly (1) in frame.
6.
With assistance, install shims (45) to minimize gap to less than 0.04 in. (1 mm) between lift arm assembly (1) and frame.
7.
Apply grease to pin assembly (36).
8.
With assistance, install pin assembly (36) on machine.
