1. Remove plug (Figure 2, Item 4) and O-ring (Figure 2, Item 3) from oil pan (Figure 2, Item 2). Discard O-ring.
2. Drain oil from oil pan (Figure 2, Item 2).

Note size and locations of bolts to aid in assembly.
3. Remove two bolts (Figure 2, Item 7) from retainer (Figure 2, Item 5).
4. Remove 11 bolts (Figure 2, Item 6), retainer (Figure 2, Item 5), oil pan (Figure 2, Item 2), and gasket (Figure 2,
Item 1) from engine.
