CAT COMMUNICATION ADAPTER SOFTWARE INSTALLATION

NOTE
Install Cat communication adapter software first.
If Cat communication adapter software was previously installed on MSD, install Electronic
Technician (ET) software, as described in Electronic Technician (ET) Software Installation
in this work package.
Ensure all the "README" files on the Cat ET CD are read and followed for software to
work correctly.
1. Set up MSD if not done previously, refer to Maintenance Support Device (MSD) Setup (WP 0008).
2. Release three fasteners (Figure 1, Item 2), and open peripheral bay access door (Figure 1, Item 1) on MSD
(Figure 1, Item 6).
3. Depress DVD/CD ROM eject button (Figure 1, Item 3) to open DVD/CD ROM disk drive (Figure 1, Item 4).
4. Insert Cat Communication Adapter 3 CD (Figure 1, Item 5), that comes with communication adapter kit, in
DVD/CD ROM disk drive (Figure 1, Item 4) and gently close the DVD/CD ROM disk drive.
