Engine ECM detects primary speed/timing sensor and the secondary speed/
timing sensor are off by more than 8 crankshaft degrees.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Timing of the fuel injection pump.
Test Step 1. Check for Speed Sensor
Codes.
Connect MSD. Select C6.6 924, start
190-8 Diagnostic Code Active -
engine (TM 5-3805-298-10), and check Perform troubleshooting on 0190-08
for active diagnostic codes (WP 0008). first.
342-8 Diagnostic Code Active -
Perform troubleshooting on 0342-08
first.
261-11 Diagnostic Code Active -
Proceed to Test Step 2.
