8. Select ON (Figure 8, Item 5) from
the drop down menu and select
OK (Figure 8, Item 6).
9. Select YES from pop-up window to
activate ether valve.
10. Using the MSD (WP 0008), check
Diagnostic Code 2417-5 Ether
for active diagnostic codes
Control Solenoid Current Below
Normal Becomes Active - Select the
(Figure 8, Item 8).
Disable Override button (Figure 8,
Item 7) to de-activate ether valve.
Select the Disconnect icon (Figure 8,
Item 2).
Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
Replace ether valve (WP 0224).
Proceed to Test Step 3.
Diagnostic Code 2417-6 Ether

Normal Is Active - Select the Disable
Override button (Figure 8, Item 7) to
de-activate ether valve.
Select the Disconnect icon (Figure 8,
Item 2).
Proceed to Test Step 2.
