Properly - Continued
1. Remove secondary steering
micro-relay (TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Using digital multimeter
Continuity - Replace lower cab wiring
(WP 0174), test for continuity
harness (WP 0291). Replace steering
between connector C-C32
fuse (TM 5-3805-298-10). Install
(WP 0012, Figure 17) terminal D1
secondary steering relay (TM 5-3805-
and ground.

Proceed to Test Step 10.
No Continuity - Install secondary
steering relay (TM 5-3805-298-10).
Replace steering fuse (TM 5-3805-298-
10).
Proceed to Test Step 10.
Test Step 10. Verify Malfunction Is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all wiring harness
connectors are connected.
2. Install transmission ECM cover
(WP 0266).
3. Install left and right lower cab
access panels (WP 0347).
4. Using MSD, check for active
Diagnostic Code 420-7 Secondary
diagnostic codes (WP 0008).
Steering System Is Not Responding
Properly Becomes Inactive -
Troubleshooting complete.
