Test Step 2. Test for Faulty Brake
473-5 Brake Charging Oil
Charging Oil Pressure Sensor.
Pressure Sensor Current Is
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
Below Normal - Continued
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Disconnect connector EN-C7
(WP 0012, Figure 60) from brake
charging oil pressure sensor.
3. Connect jumper wire between
terminal B and terminal C of
connector EN-C7 (WP 0012,
Figure 60).
4. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
5. Using MSD, check for active
Diagnostic Code 473-4 Brake
diagnostic codes (WP 0008).
Charging Oil Pressure Sensor
Voltage Is Below Normal Becomes
Active - Replace brake charging oil
pressure sensor (WP 0236).
Proceed to Test Step 5.
Diagnostic Code 473-5 Brake
Charging Oil Pressure Sensor
Current Is Below Normal Remains
Active - Proceed to Test Step 3.
Test Step 3. Test for Open Lower
Cab Wiring Harness.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove left lower cab access
panels (WP 0347).
3. Remove transmission ECM cover
(WP 0266).
4. Disconnect connector C-C12
(WP 0012, Figure 26) from
Transmission ECM J1.
5. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less -
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Replace transmission ECM (WP 0266).
between connector C-C12
Proceed to Test Step 5.
(WP 0012, Figure 26) terminal 36
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms -
and terminal 21.
Proceed to Test Step 4.
