Above Normal or Shorted
1. Remove jumper wire from terminal
High - Continued
C and terminal B of connector EN-
C7 (WP 0012, Figure 60).
2. Remove right lower cab access
panels (WP 0347).
3. Disconnect connector EN-C2
(WP 0012, Figure 12) from
connector C-C18 (WP 0012,
Figure 13).
4. Using digital multimeter
Continuity - Replace engine wiring
(WP 0174), test for continuity
harness (WP 0299).
between connector EN-C2
Proceed to Test Step 6.
(WP 0012, Figure 12) terminal 4
No Continuity - Proceed to Test Step 5.
and all other EN-C2 terminals.
Test Step 5. Test for Shorted Lower
Cab Wiring Harness.
1. Using digital multimeter
Continuity - Replace lower cab wiring
(WP 0174), test for continuity
harness (WP 0291).
between connector C-C18
Proceed to Test Step 6.
(WP 0012, Figure 13) terminal 4
No Continuity - Proceed to step 2.
and all other C-C18 terminals.
2. Using digital multimeter
Continuity - Replace lower cab wiring
(WP 0174), test for continuity
harness (WP 0291).
between connector C-C12
Proceed to Test Step 6.
(WP 0012, Figure 26) terminal 36
No Continuity - Replace transmission
and all other C-C12 terminals.
ECM (WP 0266).
Proceed to Test Step 6.
Test Step 6. Verify Malfunction Is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all harness connectors are
connected.
2. Install transmission ECM cover
(WP 0266).
3. Install left and right lower cab
access panels (WP 0347).
4. Using MSD, check for active
Diagnostic Code 473-3 Brake
diagnostic codes (WP 0008).
Charging Oil Pressure Sensor
Voltage Is Above Normal Becomes
Inactive - Troubleshooting complete.
Diagnostic Code 473-3 Brake
Charging Oil Pressure Sensor
Voltage Is Above Normal Remains
Active - Repeat troubleshooting from
the beginning.
