1. Remove console instrument panel

for access to wiring harness
connectors (WP 0264).
2. Disconnect connector C-C16
(WP 0012, Figure 120) from heater
A/C switch (WP 0012, Figure 121).
3. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Replace lower cab wiring harness
between heater A/C switch
(WP 0291).
(WP 0012, Figure 121) terminal 4
Proceed to Test Step 14.
and terminal 5.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
Replace heater A/C switch (WP 0264).
Proceed to Test Step 14.
Test Step 7. Test for Open Cab Heater
Wiring Harness.
1. Disconnect connector A-C2
(WP 0012, Figure 114) from
connector C-C25 (WP 0012,
Figure 115).
2. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Replace lower cab wiring harness
between connector A-C2
(WP 0291).
(WP 0012, Figure 114) terminal 6
Proceed to Test Step 14.
and terminal 2.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
Proceed to Test Step 8.
Test Step 8. Test for Faulty
Thermostat Switch.
1. Remove seat assembly and
pedestal (WP 0355).
2. Disconnect connector A-C7
(WP 0012, Figure 127) from
thermostat switch (WP 0012,
Figure 128).
3. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Replace cab heater wiring harness
between thermostat switch
(WP 0410).
(WP 0012, Figure 128) terminal 1
Proceed to Test Step 14.
and terminal 2.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
Replace heater and A/C temperature
switch (WP 0409).
Proceed to Test Step 14.
