Fuse.

1. Turn ignition switch and battery

disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove wipers fuse from fuse
panel (TM 5-3805-298-10).
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less Install
3. Using digital multimeter
wipers fuse (TM 5-3805-298-10) and
(WP 0174), measure resistance
proceed to Test Step 4.
between terminals of wipers fuse.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
Replace wipers fuse (TM 5-3805-298-
10) and proceed to Test Step 10.
Test Step 4. Test for Voltage at Front
Wiper Switch.
1. Remove dash panel at front wiper
switch for access to wiring harness
connectors (WP 0258).
2. Disconnect connector HN-C20
(WP 0012, Figure 190) from front
wiper switch (WP 0012,
Figure 191).
3. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
4. Using digital multimeter
Voltage 18 to 28 V Proceed to Test
(WP 0174), test for voltage

Voltage Less Than 18 V Proceed to
(WP 0012, Figure 190) terminal 2

Test Step 5. Test for Faulty Front
Wiper Switch.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Have an assistant push and hold in
front wiper switch (TM 5-3805-298-
10).
3. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Proceed to Test Step 6.
between front wiper switch
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
(WP 0012, Figure 191) terminal 1
Replace front wiper switch (WP 0258).
and terminal 7.
Proceed to Test Step 14.
