3. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
4. Remove lighting fuse from fuse
module 1 (WP 0012, Figure 44,
Item 8).
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less Install
5. Using digital multimeter
lighting fuse in module 1
(WP 0174), measure resistance
(WP 0014, Figure 44, Item 8)
between terminals of lighting fuse.
Proceed to Test Step 24.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
Proceed to Test Step 19.
Test Step 19. Test for Faulty Blackout
1. Remove blackout horn relay
(TM 5-3805-298-10) from fuse
panel.
2. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 288 Ohms to 414 Ohms
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Proceed to step 3.
between blackout horn relay
Resistance Less Than 288 Ohms
(WP 0012, Figure 154) terminal 86
Replace blackout horn relay
and terminal 85.
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
Proceed to Test Step 24.
3. Remove blackout headlight relay
(TM 5-3805-298-10) from fuse
panel.
4. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 288 Ohms to 414 Ohms
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Proceed to step 5.
between blackout headlight relay
Resistance Less Than 288 Ohms
(WP 0012, Figure 154) terminal 86
Replace blackout headlight relay
and terminal 85.
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
Proceed to Test Step 24.
5. Remove blackout turn/flash relay
(TM 5-3805-298-10) from fuse
panel.
