1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove horn fuse from fuse panel
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less Install
3. Using digital multimeter
horn fuse (TM 5-3805-298-10).
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Proceed to Test Step 6.
between terminals of horn fuse.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
Replace horn fuse (TM 5-3805-298-10).
Proceed to Test Step 14.
Test Step 6. Test Operation of
Headlights.
1. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position

2. Turn the military light switch to Ser.
Drive position and lower switch in
OFF (TM 5-3805-298-10).
3. Observe operation of headlights

Test Step 7. Test Blackout Horn
Relay.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position

2. Connect connector LE-C12
(WP 0012, Figure 204) to Horn.
3. Swap blackout horn relay with
blackout headlight relay at fuse
panel (TM 5-3805-298-10).
4. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
5. Press horn button
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
