Boom Will Not Raise or
Test Step 5. Verify Malfunction Is
Lower - Continued
Resolved.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Ensure all hydraulic hoses are
connected correctly.
3. Turn battery disconnect switch to
ON position and start engine
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
4. Warm the transmission oil to
normal operating temperature of
approximately 165F to 185F
(75C to 85C).
5. Bring the hydraulic oil to operating
temperature of 140F (60C)
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
6. Operate boom raise and lower
Boom Raises and Lowers
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
Troubleshooting complete.
Boom Does Not Raise and Lower
Repeat troubleshooting from the
beginning.
