Test Step 5. Test Service Brake
Operate - Continued
System Pressure.
1. Turn transmission control to
Neutral (N) position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Engage the parking brake
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
3. Perform service brake system
Service Brake System Pressure Is
pressure test for front brakes
Within Specifications for Front
Brakes Replace front axle
(WP 0320).
Proceed to Test Step 6.
Service Brake System Pressure Is
Out of Specification for Front
Brakes Replace service brake
control valve (WP 0326).
Proceed to Test Step 6.
Test Step 6. Verify Malfunction Is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all hydraulic hoses are
connected.
2. Install right lower cab access
panels (WP 0347).
3. Turn battery disconnect switch ON
and start engine
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
4. Raise the work tool above the
ground (TM 5-3805-298-10).
5. Turn transmission neutralizer
switch to ON (TM 5-3805-298-10).
6. Warm the transmission oil to
normal operating temperature of
approximately 165F to 185F
(75C to 85C).
7. Bring the hydraulic oil to operating
temperature of 140F (60C)
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
8. Apply service brake and release
parking brake
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
9. Turn the transmission control to
third speed forward
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
