MUFFLER REMOVAL CONTINUED
NOTE
Note location of washers to aid installation.
4. Remove two nuts (Figure 3, Item 4), four washers (Figure 3, Item 3) and two bolts (Figure 3, Item 2) from
muffler (Figure 3, Item 1) and support bracket (Figure 3, Item 5).
NOTE
Muffler weighs approximately 45 lb (20.4 kg).
5. Loosen nut (Figure 3, Item 8) and remove muffler (Figure 3, Item 1) and clamp (Figure 3, Item 10) from elbow
(Figure 3, Item 9).
6. With assistance remove muffler (Figure 3, Item 1) from machine.
NOTE
Do not remove support bracket unless damaged or to gain access to other components.
7. If required to remove support bracket (Figure 3, Item 5), remove alternator and bracket (WP 0238).
8. Remove two bolts (Figure 3, Item 6), washers (Figure 3, Item 7) and support bracket (Figure 3, Item 5) from
machine.
