3. Add coolant to coolant tank (Figure 7, Item 1) until coolant level is between ADD (Figure 7, Item 3) and FULL
(Figure 7, Item 2) mark.
4. Run engine without coolant tank cap until water temperature regulator opens and coolant level stabilizes.
5. Check and adjust coolant level until coolant level is between ADD (Figure 7, Item 3) and FULL (Figure 7,
Item 2) mark.

6. Install cap (Figure 8, Item 4) on coolant tank (Figure 8, Item 3).
7. Close cover (Figure 8, Item 2) on hood (Figure 8, Item 1).
8. Stop engine (TM 5-3805-298-10).
