6. Remove hydraulic tank breather (Figure 3, Item 1) from hydraulic tank (Figure 3, Item 5) by turning
counterclockwise. Discard hydraulic tank breather.
7. Remove hydraulic tank filler cap (Figure 3, Item 2) from hydraulic tank (Figure 3, item 5).
8. Remove screen (Figure 3, Item 3) from hydraulic tank filler tube (Figure 3, Item 4).

CLEANING AND INSPECTION

1. Clean and inspect all parts IAW Mechanical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0172).
2. Inspect gasket on hydraulic tank filler cap for damage. Replace gasket, if damaged.

Solvent cleaning compound MIL-PRF-680 Type III is an environmentally compliant and
low-toxic material. However, it may be irritating to the eyes and skin. Use protective gloves
and goggles. Use in well-ventilated areas. Keep away from open flames and other
sources of ignition. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
3. Inspect screen for dirt, debris, or damage. Clean screen with solvent. Replace screen, if damaged.
