Clean and inspect all parts IAW Mechanical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0369).

WARNING
Use caution when using adhesives and sealants. Prolonged inhalation of vapors can
cause lung irritation. Contact with skin can cause dermatitis. Wear gloves and safety
goggles and use product in a well-ventilated area away from open flame. If ingested, keep
individual calm and seek medical attention. DO NOT induce vomiting. If contact with skin
or eyes is made, flush thoroughly with water. Dispose of cleanup rags IAW local policy and
ordinances. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury to personnel.
1. Apply sealing compound to steering column flange (Figure 2, Item 2).
NOTE
Install steering column in position and orientation noted during removal.
2. Install steering column (Figure 2, Item 8) and two new locknuts (Figure 2, Item 1) in cab.
3. Install U-bolt (Figure 2, Item 4), spacer plate (Figure 2, Item 5), two new locknuts (Figure 2, Item 6), and
washers (Figure 2, Item 7), on steering column (Figure 2, Item 8).
NOTE
Install tiedown straps in quantity and location noted during removal.
4. Install new tiedown strap (Figure 2, Item 3) on steering column (Figure 2, Item 8).
