BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM

WARNING
Allow hydraulic system to cool before performing procedure. Hot hydraulic fluid can cause
severe burns. Wear eye, hand, and skin protection when working with heated parts.
Hydraulic oil is very slippery. Immediately wipe up any spills.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
1. Install brake master cylinder reservoir and tubes (WP 0225).
WARNING
Apply parking brake and block wheels before starting machine (TM 5-2420-231-10).
Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Machine must be started to fill brake master cylinder reservoir.
2. Start machine (TM 5-2420-231-10), and allow reservoir to fill.
3. Stop machine (TM 5-2420-231-10).
4. Check brake master cylinder reservoir (Figure 13, Item 1). If reservoir is not full, repeat steps 2 and 3.
