Test Emergency Braking System:
WARNING
Be sure that the area around the machine
is clear of personnel and obstructions.
Be sure the antipivot link is in the carry
position.
Test the brakes on a dry, level surface.
Fasten the seat belt before testing the
brakes.
WARNING
If the machine begins to move, reduce the
engine speed immediately and apply the
service brakes.
1. Start the engine and raise the bucket
slightly.
The parking brake light must come on.
2. With the parking brake applied, shift
the transmission to 2nd gear reverse. The
backup alarm should sound as soon as
the lever is moved to reverse.
It will be necessary to hold the lever in
reverse or the lever will move to NEUTRAL.
