TROUBLESHOOTING THE ELECTRONIC MONITORING SYSTEM
(E.M.S.) OPERATOR PANEL
The E.M.S. Operator Panel can be checked for correct operation with four
basic test procedures. The test procedures must be followed in order from TEST
I. The results from TEST II depend on the results from TEST I, etc.
For more information on a specific circuit, make reference to that circuit in
the Simplified Schematics section that follows this section on troubleshooting
the E.M.S. Operator Panel.
The four basic test procedures are:
TEST I
Disconnect Switch ON
Power Key Switch ON
Test Switch ON
Engine OFF
TEST II Disconnect Switch ON
Power Key Switch ON
Test Switch OFF
Engine OFF
TEST III Disconnect Switch ON
Power Key Switch ON
Test Switch OFF
Engine ON
TEST IV Disconnect Switch ON
Power Key Switch ON
