2. SLOW OR HARD STEERING (Cont).
Step 2.
Check hydraulic oil level at
sight gage located in front of
l o a d e r.
Oil level should be in center of
sight gage .
a . I f o i l l e v e l i s n o t i n
center of sight gage, add
hydraulic oil (page 11-78).
b . I f o i l l e v e l i s i n c e n t e r of
sight gage, go to step 3
below.
Step 3.
Unlock and open front access
door and check that hydraulic
r e s e r v o i r f i l l c a p i s t i g h t.
a . I f f i l l c a p i s n o t t i g h t ,
t i g h t e n i t.
b . I f f i l l c a p i s t i g h t , g o to
step 4 below.
Step 4.
Start and operate engine at idle speed until air pressure builds up.
Shut off engine two minutes after AIR PRESS gage reading stabilizes.
Loosen hydraulic reservoir fill cap while listening for hissing
sound indicating air is escaping from hydraulic reservoir.
a. If hissing sound is not heard, shut off engine and go to step 5
below.
b. If hissing sound is heard, go to step 8 below.
