Disconnect and remove transmission cooler hoses from transmission (refer
to TM 5-3805-262-20).
Disconnect electrical lead from air pressure sender (refer to TM 5-3805-
262-20).
Disconnect electrical lead from converter temperature sending unit
(refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
Disconnect electrical lead from clutch pressure switch (refer to TM
5-3805-262-20).
Disconnect electrical leads from backup alarm switch (refer to TM
5-3805-262-20).
Disconnect electrical leads from neutral start switch (refer to TM
5-3805-262-20).
Disconnect hose from transmission control valve clutch cutout cylinder
(refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
Disconnect shift linkage from transmission control valve spool (refer to
TM 5-3805-262-20).
Remove capscrews securing wiring harness bracket to transmission (page
3-274); do not disconnect front wiring harness connector from rear wir-
ing harness connector.
Remove capscrews securing hydraulic pump to transmission charging pump
(page 3-612); move hydraulic pump toward loader front to disengage hy-
draulic pump from charging pump.
Disconnect parking brake lever from parking brake chamber (refer to
TM 5-3805-262-20).
Disconnect center drive shaft from transmission (refer to TM 5-3805-262-
20).
Remove rear drive shaft (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
Remove capscrew securing hydraulic system manifold bracket to transmis-
sion front cover (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
Remove capscrews securing transmission control cable bracket to trans-
mission (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
Connect transmission jack to bottom of transmission.
