TM 5-3805-262-34 3-7. TRANSMISSION MAINTENANCE (CONT) b. Transmission Mounts (Cont). INSTALLATION (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7) Lubricate new rubber mount (9) using soap and water solution or liquid detergent. Put rubber mount in hydraulic press. Posi- tion right side bracket (8) on top of rubber mount. Using hydraulic press and 3 inches inside diameter sleeve, press rubber mount through hole in right side bracket as shown. Position right side bracket (8) at right side of transmission. Install washer (7) and capscrew (6) through steel inner member of rubber mount (9). Install four lock washers (5), capscrew (4) and three capscrews (3). Two inches long capscrew (4) is installed in top front mounting hole. Tighten capscrews to 135 to 165 lb-ft. Install washer (2) and new lock nut (1) on capscrew (6). Tighten lock nut to 135 to 165 lb-ft. NOTE Repeat above to install left side transmission mount. Lower transmission jack and remove from beneath transmission. Install parking brake chamber on welded extension of left side bracket (10) and adjust linkage (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20). 3-326
