Install washer (16).
Install coil (15); fasten ends of coil leads together using tape.
If screw (13) and stud (17) were separated, apply a small amount of re-
taining compound to stud (17) internal threads. Then install washer (14)
and screw on stud and tighten screw to 10 to 12 lb-ft.
Apply a small amount of retaining compound to stud (17) threads. Install
stud with washer (14) and screw (13) in detent housing (18).
Push down and turn screw (13) to install stud (17) in spool (29). Tighten
to 19 to 21 lb-ft.
Install spacer (12) in detent housing (18) with coil (15) leads between
spacer and detent housing.
Install coil (11).
Install new O-ring (10) on cap (9).
Start leads from coils (11 and 15) through cap (9) hole. Install cap (9)
in detent housing (18) and aline setscrew hole in cap with a hole in de-
tent housing.
Install retaining ring (8).
Install and tighten setscrew (7).
Solder leads from coils (11 and 15) to connector (6) using rosin core
solder only: solder one lead from each coil to contact B on connector
(6); solder other lead from coil (15) to contact A; solder other lead
from coil (11) to contact C.
Position connector (6) on cap (9) and install and tighten four screws
(4).
Remove rod or prybar from spool eyes.
Install a new O-ring (3) in seal assembly (1).
Put seal assembly (1) in hydraulic press, threaded end down. Put wiper
(2) on seal assembly. Using 1-3/4 inches diameter rod, press wiper into
seal assembly until flush with top of seal assembly.
Install and tighten seal assembly (1).
Install control valve assembly (page 3-654).
