SECONDARY STEERING PUMP AND ELECTRIC MOTOR REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

Tag all hydraulic hoses, wires, and tube assemblies to ensure correct installation.
Use a container to catch any hydraulic oil that may drain from hoses or system. Dispose of oil IAW local
policy and ordinances. Ensure all spills are cleaned up.
REMOVAL
1.
Pull back rubber cover (1), remove nut (2), and washer
(3), and disconnect cable (4) from electric motor (5).

Remove nut (6) and washer (7) and disconnect cable
(8) from electric motor (5).

Disconnect hose assemblies (9 and 10) and remove and discard two O-rings (11) from steering pump (12).
4.
Remove four bolts (13), washers (14), and nuts (15) from bracket for electric motor (5).
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during pro-
cedure. Ensure any lifting equipment used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of
heavy parts supported only by lifting equipment. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or
death to personnel.
N OT E
Steering pump and electric motor assem-
bly weighs 50 lb (23 kg).
5.
With assistance, remove steering pump and electric
motor assembly (16) from machine.
6.
Remove two connectors (17) and O-rings (18) from
steering pump (12) and set aside for re-use. Discard O-
rings.
