BUCKET CUTTING EDGE REMOVAL
1.
Remove bucket tips and adapters. Refer to Bucket Tips and Adapters Removal in this work package.
N OT E
Note position of cutting edge to bucket.
Ensure that cuts are made through original weld material while avoiding cutting into any surface of bucket.
Personnel performing this procedure must be a certified welder. Refer to TC 9-237, Operator's Circular for
Welding Theory and Applications.
Cutting edge weighs 82 lb (37 kg).
2.
Cut along two sides and rear of cutting edge (9).
3.
With assistance, remove cutting edge (9) from bucket
(3).

Procedure may require assistance from Direct Support Maintenance.
Personnel performing this procedure must be a certified welder. Refer to TC 9-237, Operator's Circular for
Welding Theory and Applications.
1.
With assistance, position cutting edge (9) on bucket (3).
2.
Weld cutting edge (9) to bucket (3) along two sides and rear of cutting edge.
3.
Install bucket tips and adapters. Refer to Bucket Tips and Adapters Installation in this work package.
