WARNING
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns.
Before performing maintenance on engine, allow engine and components
to cool completely.
Failure to follow this warning may result in severe burns to personnel.
CAUTION
Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid
wear and shortened component life.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position (TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Inspect the aftercooler (Figure 1,
Aftercooler OK - Proceed to Test
Item 1) and fins (Figure 1, Item 2)

Damaged - Straighten cooling fins, or
replace aftercooler (WP 0207).
Proceed to Test Step 7.
