E0362 Engine Overspeed
Conditions Which Generate This
Event Code
Code:
The engine electronic control module
(ECM) detects engine speed is greater
than 3000 rpm for more than
0.6 seconds.
System Response:
Warning lamp on instrument panel will
be illuminated and event code will be
logged.
Possible Performance Effect:
Engine ECM will disable fuel
injectors while event code is
active.
Engine ECM will reset the event
and enable the fuel injectors
when engine speed is below
2800 rpm for 0.6 seconds.
1. Connect MSD and select C6.6 924
2. Start and operate machine in
various speeds and loads
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
3. Using MSD (WP 0008), verify
Event Code E0361 Not Active -
event code E0361 is active.
Proceed to step 4.
Event Code E0361 Active - Reduce
engine speed and machine operation.
E0362 is an informational event code
used to inform the operator of the
condition and to bring engine speed
within operating limits.
4. Using MSD (WP 0008), check for
Diagnostic Codes are Not Active -
active diagnostic codes.
No troubleshooting required.
Diagnostic Codes are Active - Refer
to (WP 0005) and repair active
diagnostic codes first.
