The engine electronic control module
(ECM) detects the engine coolant
temperature is too high.
System Response:
E0539-1: Warning lamp on instrument
panel will be illuminated and event
code will be logged.
E0539-2: Warning lamp on instrument
panel will be illuminated, action alarm
will activate, and event code will be
logged.
Possible Performance Effect:
E0539-1: None.
E0539-2: Engine ECM will derate
engine power at one percent per
second.
